Armenian Genocide--Turkish government denies a genocide occurred though historians refer to it as a genocide.

During World War I, the Ottoman Turks created a plan to kill and deport the Armenians. There were somewhere between 600,000 to 1.5 million people killed and many more deported from the country. Historians refer to the actions as a genocide, but Turkey denies the seriousness of the event.
