What did Suleiman the Magnificent do to become known as "kunan" among the people of his empire

    Suleiman was known as Kunan the Lawgiver among the people of his empire. This was because he created and ruled over a fair set of laws that applied to his denizens. Unlike previous rulers, who tended to be more autocratic with their laws, Suleiman's ideas of justice were much fairer by comparison.
