Control of Korea proves to be an evidence shows Japan's rise as an imperial nation in the early 1900s

    Explanation:

Though Japan occupied Korea for generation, Koreans were strong enough in staging demonstrations and protest which insisted Japan to grant independence. During colonizing Korea, Japan took over many miles of Korean lands and converted them to be an industrial place which added revenues to the Japanese empire. Japan wanted to colonize Korea, because Japan wanted to trade with other countries by having colonized country, so that they could expand their trading route.

After the colonization of Korea, Japan had lands to do with it, so they developed industries. Japan took control of Korea with the Japan-Korea Annexation Treaty of 1910. When Japan was defeated in World War II, Soviet forces took control of the North, and American forces took control of the South, Japan annexed Korea in order to make them loyal to the Japanese emperor and take up Shinto devotions rather than following Christianity.
