The correct answer is B) The writers of the Constitution disagreed on ideology.

When creating the US Constitution at the Constitutional Convention, many individuals disagreed on what should be included. This resulted in the creation of two main groups, federalists and anti-federalists. Federalists believed a strong central government was necessary in order for America to run efficiently. This group cited the failures of the Articles of Confederation for the need of a strong central government. Anti-federalists, on the other hand, believed that state governments should have more power than the federal government. Anti-federalists worried about a central government being corrupt with power, just like the one they used to live under when they were part of the British empire.

The feud between these two groups lead to the creation of the first political parties.

"b. The writers of the Constitution disagreed on ideology" would be the best option from the list, although almost all of the Founding Fathers were opposed to the formation of parties.
