    life, liberty, property

Locke suggested that each person is granted natural rights that must be protected by the government. Life is the protection of a person's actual life and the right to live without fear of being hurt by the government or others in the community. Liberty is the freedoms a person should be granted to participate in the government. Property rights should be protected by the government as well. No one should have to worry the government will take their property and that everyone should have the right to own property.
