How did the french & indian war leading up to the American revolution

The French and Indian War left Britain very poor due to war expenses. This led to Britain increasing taxation on many goods in the Americas. These acts like the Stamp Act which increased the cost of taxes on products commonly used angered the Americans, giving them another reason to go to war.
