    Asymptote is a term which is used in analytical geometry, it can be a line or a curve that approaches a given curve arbitrarily closely.

    Don't hand that holier than thou line to me, asymptote say to the removable discontinuity key. When the function has a hole we can get to the removable discontinuity.
