The main purpose of a budget is to plan the amount of money available for spending that is based on a plan for how it will be spent.
to plan for the coordination of resources and expenditures.
Examples:
1) He budgets $50 for his grocery for the entire week.
2) The project is worth more than $200 000 for the housing development.
