How did the failure of the League of Nations to prevent world war ll affect the formation of the United States

I presume you wanted to write "the formation of the United Nations" since the US was formed long long before WW2. Countries who did not want to participated in the League of Nations program realized that such an organization is necessary for the well being because it could prevent other countries from behaving the way the Third Reich behaved.
