    A. disorganized and ineffective

The definition of a wildcat strike is when a strike occurs and it has not been authorized by a union or syndicate, however the American Railway Union did approve this strike, but Grover Cleveland (then President of the United States) did not recognize it. In the case of the Pullman Company Strike in 1894, railroad workers held a strike in Chicago and took to rioting and opposing the work of many of their daily jobs, in exchange for lowering their rent of their city-owned houses after workers had their wages cut and many people were laid off. However, this did not prove successful, as Grover Cleveland sent in the army and this is why A is the correct answer, as it proved ineffective and was in the end disorganized as Grover Cleveland did not recognize the legitimacy of the American Railroad Union.
