Answer: Roosevelt used the Monroe Doctrine (which was a policy that begun in 1823, opposing European colonialism in America) and also added the Roosevelt Corollary (1904) to it, which stated that the US can exercise "international police power", in an attempt to justify any US intervention in other countries.

Roosevelt utilized the Doctrine of Monroe, a party that was started in 1800. The part opposed the colonialism of the Europeans in America. It, therefore, added Roosevelt in earlier 1900. The doctrine states that the US was free to exercise the power of international police. This was aimed to justify American intervention in other countries.

Roosevelt having been considered as progressive, he pushed for reforms that saw industries established and worked towards making American to acquire power and rule all the states.
