    In 1924 Native Americans feared the right to vote, however many natives were unable to vote even though most could.

    Until Europeans took over North America, there was no gender pattern considered normal among North American ethnic groups. Unlike our society, North American Indians had a multitude of genders, neither establishing one as a rule nor transforming others into abnormalities or something to be avoided.
