The arrival of Europeans and the later rise of a powerful white-dominated nation in their lands have had hard, tragic and historical consequences for the Native American cultures. They lost their ancestral lands, lost their wild herds and hunting spaces, were forced out of their lands, they suffered persecution and killing, their cultures were destroyed or denied. Definitely, they had reasons to believe their gods had abandoned them.
