    St. Peter's Basilica is the late renaissance church within Vatican city.

    It is the Europe' largest christian church. it is said that St. Peter's Basilica is erected on the Tomb of the Saint Peter which is revered to be the first disciple of Jesus Christ. It is built in the shape of a cross. It is believed that it stays intact from fourth century. it is honored to be the standing evidence of the great Rome architecture.

    Constantine built the first Saint Peters Basilica in order to celebrate the acceptance of Christianity. it was also considered to be the meeting place of Romans. The interiors of the church is constructed and decorated in Borque style. Bernini who was a famous sculpture also designed its features.
