    A. He was the founder of the American Federation of Labor who stayed out of politics to avoid dividing the labor movement.

    Gompers was an anti-socialist and was not an anarchist. As well he founded the AFL, he wasn't the president of the Industrial Workers of the World. Therefore, A is correct.
