Why was Princeton a different victory than Trenton?

Princeton provided much needed military supplies.

Princeton was an offensive battle and Trenton was a defensive battle.

Trenton was defended by mercenaries and Princeton was defended by British regulars.

There was no difference, they both were fought at the same time by the same troops.
