During the 1760s the Committees of Correspondence were made up of important and influential colonists spread across all thirteen colonies who worked together in their grievances against England. Members shared information about government and leadership in the colonies as well as coordinated responses to England regarding the Stamp Act, the Sugar Act, and other grievances among the colonies.
