The nobility occupies the upper ranks of the medieval society. The nobles were not the royalty, as they sit between the royals and commoners. They still act in the service of the royalty in sort of military service, funding and supplies, while also providing work, land, and protection to the peasants. The benefits? They often have great wealth and social status, and have access to education which they need because they are expected to handle so much responsibilities.

The nobles fell in the second position in the social class ranking. They came in two separate types, the ones who inherited nobility, and the ones who did not. The nobles job was to protect the serfs from invaders. Often, the main benefits of nobility included nicer clothes, more power, more money, better supply and types of food and not having to do hard work.
