Do you consider the defenders of the Alamo as heroes or common outlaws (bandits) ? Defend your response using examples from what you have learned about Texas. You may also defend both sides if you like.

    In my opinion defenders of Alamo were heroes, because they fought and died to create independent Texas and to take it away from the hands of Mexico.

    Explanation:

    The battle of Alamo is often seen as one of the most heroic acts in American history, during which just a couple hundred of people fought against 1 500 Mexicans, led by their president. Although, it was obvious that they cannot win this battle, the defenders of Alamo wanted to show their stand and to prove that their sacrifice will not be in vain if the others continue their path.
