The Archaic Indians of prehistoric Arkansas were people that were still engaged in hunting and gathering, thus they were hunters-gatherers.

Their main preoccupations were the hunting of wild animals, bison and deer most regularly, as well as gathering root plants, berries, and wild fruits and vegetables.

Because of this, they were having a migratory lifestyle, because they had to move constantly in order to get enough food, as the agriculture was still not practiced.

They were very innovative and skillful hunters though. They managed to create multiple tools and hunting weapons that were very precise and very efficient, which provided them with regular meals and also minimizing the danger of getting injured or dead in the process of hunting.
