    Explanation:

The rebellion in central and western Massachusetts that lasted form 1786 to 1787 is known as Shay's Rebellion. It was named Daniel Shays, he was as veteran of the American revolution. His followers were known as Shaysites. The shaysites were poor farmers who were angry because of the taxes and debt. They were afraid that they would have to go to jail or their property would be confiscated. They tried to prevent the courts in Western Massachusetts from confiscating the property of indebted farmers.

Its major cause was lack of money as the American Revolution had resulted in war debts, the state governments and continental congress levied a poll tax to pay for the war debts.
