Homo erectus was the first hominid species to migrate. They moved out of Africa and colonized Europe and Asia. Early humans migrated out of Africa more than 60000 years ago. One of the destinations of the first migrating hominids were: Pakistan, Levant, Caucasus, China and Israel. The first archaeological evidence of a human migration out of Africa was found in the caves of Qafzeh and Skhul, in present-day Israel.
