    By 1905, European government took over almost every African state under its control. In the late 1960s the decolonization of Africa started to develop as the British government transit to independent states.

    Ghana, was the first African country which availed independence from colonization on 6th March, 1957 with Harold Macmillan's "wind of change" speech decolonization took place rapidly in Ghana.
