    Ovid is one of the most influential writers to ever come out of the ancient Rome but it is not his readership in Rome that has been the source of his fame.

    There are many other scholars in Rome that were regarded higher in their times but Ovid had stood the test of time and had been read by the readers all across Europe during the period of Renaissance.

    The renewed interest in the works of Ovid has cemented his position as one of the fore most writers of the age.
