How many soldiers did japan have? did they have a naval force?

    In 1936 Japan had a military force of around 250,000 active soldiers and around 1940 they had 376,000 troops with 2 million people in reserve. They had divisions in Japan of course, Korea, China and Manchuria.

    Yes Japan did have a navy during the second world war, it consisted of multiple aircraft carriers, battle ships, sea planes, steam boats, and cruisers.
