What does the official language of a country tell you about how it might have been colonized?

    Well, the official language of a country can give away the language that was brought to the country by its colonizers. So, a country that speaks English was likely colonized by the British. A country who speaks French was likely colonized by the French. A country that speaks French and British likely had itself fought over by the French and British.
