Why was the era of Roman Emperor Justinian I (529-534) considered significant for the concept of laws throughout history?

    It was important because it was then that the codification of Roman Law became a serious issue and Justinian had professionals gather and compile a set of laws over the course of a year. The Codex Justinianus was thus made and it inspired many other legislative systems worldwide.
