How did native born Americans respond to new immigrants

    Many native-born Americans resented the new immigrants. Industrialists were delighted with the plentiful cheap labor, but American workers were Expensive.

    Well one reason is because some of the immigrants volunteered for jobs that had just didn't like them because they were different from them.
