    One group of trader was known as Barbers. These were a group of a Rabbs from north Africa who carry trade goods across the desert. Some historians believe one a red caravan traverse the desert with about 12,000 camels. These huge a Rab caravans carry things like silk salt and textiles to the people of Africa.
