How were colonial government organized

    In a colonial government, each colony had a governor heading everything and is assisted by his own advisory council. English royalties, specifically the king and queen, handpick the governor and council members in royal colonies, whereas the people chose their own representative to draft laws which have to be selected and approved by both the governor and the council.
