Right--believed FDR was a socialist and they wanted more hands-off policies. There were also social concerns on the right about blacks being given opportunities in New Deal Programs.

Left--believed FDR didn't go far enough economically. They wanted free health care and money from the government for the people. Socially, they wanted a law addressing lynching in the South and wanted desegregation to begin.
