    Explanation:

    The Women Christian Union also known as Women Christian Temperance Union is a Religious union formed by Women of the Christian faith in order to promote good morals and integrate Christian way of living into secular ways of life in homes. its main objective was to promote/encourage abstinence from Alcohol because of the negative effects it has on homes.

    They tried to protect families from negative influences and also strengthened family ties within the family. WCTU was founded in Ohio December 1873 by Frances Willard.
