The Church of England differed from the Catholic Church because of the Thirty-Nine Articles which specified the difference between the Catholic and Protestant churches and the Book of Common Prayer, which was a prayer book written in English and also set Protestants apart from the Catholic Church, as it was a reformed book of psalms and it was not the same one used in the Catholic Church.
