D:Archaeologists did not recognize the benefits of learning about native cultures until most of the available information had been lost.

    Explanation:

The importance of the past of this country is often missjudged and underestimated, this happend in the past when the archaeologists, scientists and historians came to america, they didn't find interesnting or worthy to write and investigate the life of the native americans that inhabitated this country, so they didn't make records or interviewed people, the spanish that conquered Mexico for example sent monks to learn about the cultures and that's in great part why we now know about the mayans and other cultures that inhabitated the central america region.
