    While the wealthy pay more taxes than the poor, the poor pay a higher percentage of their income. This is one of the main causes of the growing gap between the rich and the poor.

    When American companies have their products made, or services provided outside of the United States, it is known as outsourcing. Most companies do this, because other countries have lower taxes than in the US. Labor is much cheaper in other countries, especially in ones that still allow sweatshops and other forms of slavery.
