When the Battle of Trenton started in 1776, within the American Revolutionary War, it did not seem to be a very determinant conflict. But the very dramatic victory obtained by the American forces, commanded by George Washington, ended up having a large simbolic power, and became a source of inspiration for many rebels within the colonies. Lots of new recruits arrived afterwards and the revolution, which was in doubt just a week before, went on.
