What explains the disasters that befell europe in the first half of the twentieth century?

    Disasters such as the turning of states to each other which was fueled by the industrial revolution. Also, the great depression had a negative impact on European economies. These disasters and crises were also theorised to have caused the first world war in Europe which cost huge casualties.
