This structure was built and dedicated to their former ruler Marcus Ulpius Traianus as aresult of his military accomplishment in war against the Dacia.

    The Basilica Ulpia was a massive structure that was constructed as part of the Trajan complex structure which is famous for its gilded bronze roof tiles.
