    In the Medioeval period the city-states were dominated by a "Signore".

    In the Reinassance the most important people that governed city states were the Pope, the Medici, the Doge etc.

    B: The Clergy, they had the most political power because the noble Class and wealthy citizens were not part of the government, and the Knights just protected the pepole of italy
