    The aftermath of the China's Civil War divided the factions of the government between the socialist mainland China, led by Mao Zedong, and the Republic of China, which is Taiwan and is lead by Shang Kai Shek. The war resulted in huge economic losses in the entirety of China and it took a long to stabilise their economy.
