What is true is that they were abused by their masters and sometimes the women would be raped by their master. They would live in constant fear. Would have to work in inhumane conditions, were treated very very poorly. They did not have a voice in anything they had to keep their head down and work for hour and hour and hours most of the time in fields. They were referred to as subhumans. They were treated worst than an animal.
