The cyclops locked Odysseus and his men inside a cave and closed their entrance with a large rock. Once inside the cave, he killed a couple of the Odysseus' companions and ate them.

    Explanation:

    Hello!

The encounter between Odysseus and the Cyclops is narrated in Homer's Odyssey.

The name of the cyclops was Polyphemus, who was the son of the god Poseidon and the nymph Toosa. Polyphemus was a being endowed with great physical strength, but not with great intelligence.

Odysseus leaves Polyphemus blind and manages to escape by confusing himself with the flock of sheep that belonged to the Cyclops.
