What are the major achievements of The Islamic Golden Age?

    I actually had to do this. Exactly this.

    Architecture:mosques and minarets, geometric patterns, Baghdad circular ... etc.

    Art/design: people were payed to make art (Example:Harun ar-Rashid), no animals or people

    Literature: 1001 nights, Harun ar-Rashid again, people were taught through poems.

    Geography: Invented the compass, and improved astrolabe

    Math: invented algebra, made the # 0.

    Sciences: water driven machines, found moon was connected to tides.
