Why was Germany, an emerging power in the 19th century, motivated to participate in imperialism?

    Because after WW1 Germany was in deep. They owed 18 million dollars, had to cut there military and ect. They were motivated by Hitler coming up bringing promises that people had to take a chance on because there was nothing else to do.
