Why do historians need to be careful about being unbiased when presenting historical information

Have you ever heard of the saying "History is written by the Victors"?

Generally, the Historians have to be unbiased so that the information is correct and without bias. Whenever a big situation happens, both sides will write about them but will be biased towards the other side. It is very important that the Historians be unbiased and careful.
