It has both a positive and negative impact. the main positive is the ability to travel far distances faster. a few negatives is that cars promote a more sedentary life, increasing the risks of obesity and other health problems; cars emit pollution which can contribute to acid rain and air pollution; and that cars are expensive so some people with less money and living in rural areas may not have access to cars to male their lives easier.
