Summarize the role of women by the late 1800s, what challenges did families face?

The role of women in the 1800s had changed in an interesting way. They were still expected to be at home and cook and do other feminine and housewife-like things which was required of them in past ages. However, with the industrial revolution becoming apparent, they were also required to work so they acquired money and could feed their family.
