    Anti-saloon league was a Christian temperance organization which fought for the nationwide abstinence from drinking and consuming alcohol. Due to urbanizing crime rate also increased and people sought to take alcohol.

    Anti-Saloon League was mainly protestant church crusade and its primary objective was to create anti-alcohol gush in the minds of the people. It declared its religious nature and it acted in support of the churches. It believed that it was working for God and anything it performed was based on the will of the lord.

    Many supporters who once supported self-denial from alcohol desired for the reverse of prohibition by the Anti-Saloon league. People who were at power intended to revoke the prohibition of Anti-saloon league.
