In Washington's Farewell address, he warns future United States presidents to remain isolated when dealing with foreign nations. Why do you believe he thought this was necessary for America to be successful?

    If America stays out of foreign affairs we do not risk the chance of being overthrown, under any control, dedicating loyalty to another country, being in debt to other countries, other countries being in debt to us, and that we would not lose our military with the ability to avoid war and conflict.
