How did John Smith and Pocahontas relationship affect the relations between natives and the Jamestown colonists?

    The relationship between natives and the Jamestown colonists remained strained because Smith always terrorized the people by putting guns one their head for want of food supplies.

    Explanation:

    The Native American has always been threatened by the British colonists to acquire the land from them and to expand their territory. This sort of treatment by the colonists have made the native people to revolt against them and started fighting with the colonists to guard their land.

    The John smith was captured by the tribal people of Powhatan and was kept as a prisoner. Pocahontas persuaded her father who is the tribal chief to free John smith from the captive. She saved him and John Smith was free. She was identified by colonists has the main representative of the Powhatan.

    In the 1613 war between the natives and colonists the Pocahontas as captured and to release her they demanded money from the tribal's. This caused the strained relationship between the Powhatan tribes and British colonists.
